Yeah, me too... nearly. But I managed to settle disputes (at least the most important ones) so I got to come back.
Tried to reach you in the meantime, but your email adress just got me delivery failures, otherwise I'd have kept you up-to-date.

Well as I understand some states are challenging for coldest spot on earth. (at least being colder than antarctica, and this one is feeding on icesuitable ships at the moment so congratulations!) Lake Michigan is freezing over (so be cautious not to be invaded by some raving Mounties :D ) and I heard rumours of frost in Florida, too! Couldn't imaging them to know how to handle snow en mass in areas like Orlando or Tempa...

Climate Change is a bitch...
So? Are you riding on one of these bipedal beasts, too? But you should avoid getting lost with it in a blizzard then. They might provide some warm cover inside, but they're supposed to be kind of smelly ;)

Hopefully this weather won't last for too long. Couldn't be that good for climate either to being forced to outstand cold weather of that scale... but there are obviously more pressing matters in the current situation.

I changed the name on my email addy. They told me my emails would forward through, and my address book would carry over. But alas... it did not. Lazy degenerates just deleted my old account. It was extremely disconcerning.

Lake Erie would be a more suitable invasion route. See the War of 1812. Due to the impressment of American sailors, New York & Michigan invaded Canada. New York accounts for 2 of the 5 major campaigns of the war. Detroit, New Orleans, and the Chesapeake bay being the latter. The New York campaigns acccount for more cassualties than all of the other campaigns combined.

The New York infantry burned Toronto, and they burned Buffalo and the greater Niagara region in retaliation. It was just the 200th anniversary of that battle last week. December 30th, 1813. The battle was commemorated by having pallet fires simaltaneously on both sides of the border. Good thing they rebuilt Buffalo, otherwise we wouldn't have those world famous chicken wings.

Fear not, I keep a close eye on those Canuck bastards. Uuuui...

If memory serves the last time there was in Florida was four to five years back. It killed alot of citrus, i.e. oranges and lemons. Hense driving the price of orange juice and lemonaide up for one season.

What are these more pressing matters? I feel so bad for Michael Schumacher. He was/is my favorate Formula one driver growing up. Now the news says Mrs. Merkel broke her hip skiing also. What the hell is going on over there? Olympic fever? kopf kratz,....

I just found it more pressing to see this freak weather through to the end (Arctic frost in North America, heat in Australia) than to focus on the cause of it.
It's no use to complain about USA not signing kyoto protocol and all that, when people are dying of the cold temperatures...

Well if you'd ask me, I would have wanted the two of them to exchange their accidents, but that's just my resentment against Merkel speaking.
In the end it's just unfortunate that Schumacher left the track (from his former experience he should have known, that this isn't a good idea) and bad luck how he hit that rock. But I won't feel more bad for him than I would for any other person, since I never iconified him. He was a dominating race driver in his days, but these were the achievements of him and his team and they were well tributed for that, so no further need to praise them... My opinion...

Okay, Lake Erie would make a more suitable route for conquest, but it was just the case, that a lake, as big as Lake Michigan, would freeze over...
It's not compareable in size, of course, but it's similar to when our Bodensee, or Lake Constance as you might know it, froze over... The locals call it "Seegfrörene" (roughly translates to "frozen lake") when the lake freezes partly or completely... (last time in 1963)... you could then (if you stand the cold) walk over to Austria or Switzerland.
But the Lake Constance could roughly fit 100 times into the Lake Michigan and 50 times in Lake Erie, so we are speaking of quite a different scale ;)

Generally speaking, yes. What do you have in mind?

A program that would have standard templates for 40-50 pitchures from a camera. If I took a pitchure of the southside of a building, it would say "Southern Sector". In it's own little box under the pic. There should be an option to create an additional pic as required. All pitchures would have to presented in a professional format that could be scrolled through showing all pitchues at once. Maybe even side by side. Plus it would need the capability to be able to click on the name in the box for the pic to go full screen. There would also have to be an/index page first with thumbnails and smaller versions of the clickable boxes. It must be able to accept the pics from click and drag, with a dump section for the pics incase the camera is not there. It would have to be able to reckonize different photo file types in case a different camera was used. Be able to compress itself/the data so when the pics are received on another machine it can be sent by email.

I'm not sure I get the idea. You want a programm where you are able to predefine templates for different occasions e.g. "building", "countryside" or whatever. These templates usually be the same, but you should always be able to add additional photos to them. I am not that much into photo archive and gallery programs, but I believe there should be any kind of program, so maybe we should consider searching for a suitable program, before programming ourselves. The thing is, I am more the scripting guy, so I should be able to define the templates, even in code, but I would totally lack the skills to program a whole photo suite for you. :---/:

Exactly, but the additional photos would be categorized as other.

When the final details become clearer, maybe you can help me find the right program. Pobeln....

Anyone else out there have any ideas? Housten...

All-right, I solved like 80% of the software problem myself.

1. Right clicked and created new folder.
2. Named new folder.
3. Created new bitmap image X 53.
4. Named 53 new images the appropriate names.
5. Moved all 53 pics into a folder the with all images into it.

Here's where help is required. I can not move the image into the new bitmap image. I have tried to copy, then paste, und drag into the frame.

No joy. How does one put an existing image into a new or blank image???? wo denn?.....

i believe this can be accomplished through photoshop (any version). just create a new template with a format of your choosing, then either do copy/paste, or drag the existing image to the newly created template. hope this helps.

cheers prostataaaaa...
